Customer service is a very important factor in today’s society. Customer is any relationship, conversation, or interaction an employee has with a customer. Good customer service is the key to a successful business. I learned some things out this class that are relevant to me. I can use them throughout my career. I interviewed three people, as following, for this assignment: Connie Taylor, Wanda Croft, and Jeronda Moran. Mrs. Connie works for the Monroe City School Board and has been there twenty years. She feels that good customer service should be a must in all businesses and organizations. She also feels that whoever portrays bad customer service should be trained and punished. Jeronda Moran is a hairdresser. Mrs. Moran has been doing hair for twelve years now and she loves it. It’s her job and her hobby. She does her own private business but it’s open to family, friends, and the public. Yes, Mrs. Moran interacts with clients on a regular basis. When she has clients she makes them feel at home. She offers anything that she may have and also gives suggestions. Mrs. Moran ensures good quality of work and encourages her clients to always come back as needed. That’s her way of creating customer loyalty. Whenever she has a bad experience or a rude customer, she tries the best she can to make things better, resolve the situation, or sometimes she even denies the client service. Mrs. Moran has a very positive view on customer service. She believes that every customer should be treated to the highest standards; anything the customer wants they should get, every customer should be greeted with a smile, and the customer is always right. As you can see, the three interviewees all have different views of customer service. Many people view customer service in various ways.
